Secure channel

A clear account of the BLACKFILE communication channels currently available, those not yet available, and how a secure method of sharing materials is agreed.

What is available now

Website form

The primary channel for an initial enquiry. Information is sent to the server over an encrypted connection, without using an email application. After submission, you receive a reference number for further correspondence.

A reply through your preferred channel

In the form, you choose how we should contact you: email, telephone, Signal, Telegram or WhatsApp. We reply through the channel you select.

What is not yet available

BLACKFILE does not yet have public Telegram or WhatsApp accounts or a published PGP key. We do not present email links as messaging services or claim to offer channels that do not exist. When these channels become available, they will be listed on this page.

Guidance for your initial enquiry

01Do not send documents, scans or photographs before a secure channel has been agreed.
02Do not include document numbers, banking details, passwords or access codes.
03Do not provide third parties' full names unless they are essential to the nature of the enquiry.
04At the initial stage, a general description of the situation and the outcome you need is sufficient.
How a secure channel is agreed

After an initial assessment, BLACKFILE contacts you through your preferred channel and proposes a suitable way to share documents and details. Sensitive materials are requested only after this step, never in the first message.
