This document distinguishes three separate cases: the site's open materials, preliminary communication prior to entering into an agreement, and services that BLACKFILE provides under a separate written agreement. The limitations below relate to the first two and do not alter the obligations undertaken under an agreement.
Informational nature of the materials
The site's materials are of a general informational and analytical nature. They do not constitute legal, financial, tax, investment or other professional advice.
The information on the site does not account for the circumstances of a specific situation and should not be used as the sole basis for a significant decision.
Publication on the site does not substitute for a separate verification of the circumstances and professional assessment.
No guarantee of outcome
The outcome of an investigation or analytical work depends on the availability of lawful sources, the quality of the source data, time, jurisdiction and other circumstances of the specific matter.
BLACKFILE cannot guarantee the discovery of a fact expected in advance or confirmation of the client's initial version.
At the same time, the obligations undertaken under an agreement with respect to methodology, good faith, confidentiality, timing and the format of the deliverable are determined by the relevant agreement.
Limits of the work
The work is carried out within the following limits.

- 02BLACKFILE does not obtain unauthorized access to closed systems, correspondence and devices.
- 03BLACKFILE does not conduct unlawful surveillance, interference with private life or circumvention of access restrictions.
- 04BLACKFILE may decline a task if its purpose or methods exceed the permissible limits.
Status of conclusions and reports
Three levels of reliability are distinguished in the materials prepared. This distinction relates to work under an agreement and does not extend to the site's general publications.
The status of each material conclusion is indicated in the corresponding report.

The client makes decisions independently based on the information received, taking into account the advice of its legal, financial and other professional advisors.
The permissible manner of using the materials is determined by the agreement, applicable law and the nature of the matter.
BLACKFILE bears no responsibility for use of the materials in a manner that has not been agreed, contravenes the law, infringes the rights of third parties, or exceeds the original purpose of the project.
